An X-ray or NMR structure of the target protein—preferably with a bound ligand—is now considered to be an essential, or at least a highly desirable, feature of any drug development project. To meet this need, Domainex has capabilities in protein expression, crystallisation and structure determination. We have a molecular biology and protein science laboratory in Cambridge, and access to two x-ray diffractometers plus computational power at Birkbeck College and the ICR. This allows us to prepare proteins, and solve protein (+/- ligand) structures at high resolution.
